NETGEAR ProSafe Dual Band Wireless Access Point WAG302v2 Reference Manual
3-12 Management and Information
v1.0, May 2006
Table 3-2 explains the fields on the Statistics page.
Rogue AP Detection
The WAG302v2 can detect rogue APs and wireless stations and exclude them from connecting to
the WAG302v2 Wireless Access Point.
To enable Rogue AP Detection:
1. From the WAG302v2 main menu under Information, click Rogue AP Detection to view the
page shown in Figure 3-9.
2. Check the Turn Rogue AP Detection On radio box to enable Rogue AP Detection and click
Apply.
If you enable Rogue AP Detection, the AP continuously scans the wireless network and
collects information about all APs heard on its channel.
3. Click Rescan to discover the APs.
4. Click Grant to add any AP to the Known AP List.
5. Click Delete to remove an AP from the list.
6. Click Save to export the list of known APs to a file. A window opens so you can browse to the
location where you want to save the file. The default file name is WAG302Rogue.cfg
